CARR, Charles W. 'Charlie'

Charles 'Charlie' Carr passed on December 19, 2013 at the age of 88. He was born on March 15, 1925 in San Jose, CA. His family lived in Antioch, CA during his early years until moving to Sacramento where he graduated from Sacramento High School in 1943.
He entered the US Army and was sent to Japan with the occupation forces with the rank of Sargeant.
As a young boy, he vacationed at Lake Tahoe with his family on the way to Virginia City to visit relatives. At the age of 16 he answered an ad to work at Lake Tahoe for the summer. Upon discharge from the service he returned to Lake Tahoe.
Charlie loved Lake Tahoe and was passionate about hiking in the back country, fishing and hunting.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Bea Anne, two children and three grandchildren: Cathy and Tim, Tim's wife, Cindy, and their children, Rhianna, Sierra, and Jeremiah; his cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was a driving force and will be missed by all. A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
