Robert is survived by his loving wife Beverly, and his children Paul (Heather) Capel, Robert Jr. (Lynette) Capel, Doug Gongaware, Patricia Davis, DeAnna (Shawn) Kennedy and David (Stefani) Blake. He is also survived by his grandchildren Hunter, Tyler, Krysten, Kayley, Robert III, Nikolai, Brooke, Alex, Trevor, Carl, Laura, David, Carolynne, and Elizabeth. Robert was a family man who knew how to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life. In his younger days, Robert was an avid welder. Later in life, he was known as the 'sign guy' for Yolo County Public Works. He was also an enthusiastic 4-wheeler and Robert and Bev could often be found enjoying the outdoors by making the trek from Wentworth Springs to Tahoe on the Rubicon. Robert enjoyed hearing his grandchildren laugh and was known as the family 'tickle monster'. Robert was a perfect husband, an amazing father, a fun loving Grandpa, and a great person. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and co-workers. Funeral services will be held this Friday, October 20, 2006 at 3 pm at the River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule St. in West Sacramento.
