Hyson, Louise A. - Salamanca  
SALAMANCA - Mrs. Louise A. Hyson, 83, died early Saturday morning (Feb. 21, 2015) at Cuba Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 29, 1931, in Washington, she was the daughter of the late Emmons and Elta Waltz Frank. She was married June 30, 1951, to the Edward A. Hyson, who predeceased her in 1971. Mrs. Hyson was employed as a nurse at the former Salamanca District Hospital and the Salamanca Nursing Home, was a substitute teacher for the Salamanca school system and played organ and piano at various churches. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mizpah Chapter 162 and Euterpean Club, a former Girl Scout leader and a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Surviving are three sons, Steven (Denise) Hyson of Philadelphia, Pa., Tim (Kathy John) Hyson of Great Valley and Paul (Joelle) Hyson of Little Valley; two daughters, Gail (Jim) Hostuttler of Millport and Judy (Brett) Lefford of Little Valley; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several extended family members. She was predeceased by a son, Russell Hyson. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday (Feb. 27, 2015) at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, and on Saturday (Feb. 28, 2015) from 10 to 11 a.m., when funeral services will be held with the Rev. Daniel Buringrud, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
