Frances W. (Hall) Nash(1916 - 2013)

Waterloo - Frances W. Nash, 97, of Keli Drive, died Thursday (Oct. 17, 2013), at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva.
Funeral services and burial will be held in Salamanca, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours.
Mrs. Nash was born in Plymouth, Ma. on Feb. 22, 1916, the daughter of the late Herman W. and Laura (Morton) Hall. She was a direct descendant of Miles Standish. She was a graduate of Framingham Union Hospital in Massachusetts. Her nursing career spanned from the Jodan Hospital in Plymouth, Ma., to Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill., to her final 20 years as head nurse at Salamanca District Hospital, retiring in 1985. She married Clarence H. Nash Jr. on Nov. 20, 1943, and they celebrated 69 years together, most of them in Salamanca, following her husband's discharge from the U.S. Army. She was a member of United Methodist Congregationalist Church, in Salamanca and the Nurses Association in Salamanca.
Mrs. Nash is survived by: one daughter, Carolyn "Carrie" Osborn of Waterloo; one son, Dr. David B. (Patricia) Nash M.D., of Canfield, Ohio; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Steven) Winnek, David W., Brian, Amy, and Jacob Nash; two great-grandchildren, Steven and Spencer Winnek; two sisters, Lillian Knowles of Plymouth, Ma. and Barbara Brenner, of Plymouth, Ma.; her son-in-law, Charles (Teresa) Wheeler, of Westfield, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and her many additional relatives from both, Massachusetts and Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence H. Nash Jr., who died Dec. 1, 2012; one daughter, Christine F. Wheeler; one sister, Eleanor Holmes; and two brothers, Norman Hall and Herman W. Hall III.
