John B. Kinnen Sr.(1916 - 2011)

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – John B. Kinnen Sr., 95, who passed away on Thanks­giving Day in 2011, will be buried Oct. 15, 2012 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Fla.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Jeanette Kinnen. He will join his wife with side by side burial headstones at the Lake Worth National Cemetery's cremated section. Both John (Army) and Jeanette (Navy) were World War II veterans. John will be buried with honors and join Jeanette who was previously buried with honors.
Mr. Kinnen was a member of the Army Combat Engineers during WWII. He managed the Ellicottville M&T Bank from 1963 until his retirement in 1981. He was active in his community and was a volunteer at the Ellicottville Fire Department. John enjoyed traveling, camping, golfing, boating and swimming. He was an avid tennis player and continued to play until he was 90 years old.
After retirement, John and Jeanette moved to Fort Myers, Fla. and spent their summers in Ellicottville.
Mr. Kinnen is survived by one son, John B. Jr.; two daughters, Jane E. and Jill E.; and three grandchildren, Thomas C., Shane A. and Kyle S.
