Dustin Sharp

1984 - 2016

HAMBURG - Mr. Dustin Sharp, 31, of Hamburg, formerly of Salamanca and York, Pa., died early Wednesday morning (Oct. 26, 2016) in Collins.

Born on Dec. 17, 1984, in York, Pa., he was the son of Dawn Sharp, York, and the late Steven Hunt Sr.

He was a graduate of West York High School, Class of 2003.

Mr. Sharp was employed as a sheet metal worker with Union Local No. 71 in Buffalo for 10 years. He was a journeyman and a member of Union Local No. 71, Buffalo.

He was a Golden Gloves boxer and was New York state champion in 2009. Dustin was an avid outdoorsman, especially boating and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed entertaining all of his friends' kids and loved his dog, Bubba.

Surviving besides his mother are his stepfather, Joseph Desenberg of York; his companion, Katie Talbot of Angola; four sisters, Elizabeth John of Salamanca, Stephanie DuCharme of Brantford, Conn., Nichole Hunt of East Haven, Conn., and Kara (Eddie) Pifer of Va.; three brothers, Jeremy (Tai) Desenberg of York, Joey Desenberg of York and Jeffrey Baum of Virginia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, who were all very special to Dustin.

He was predeceased by a brother, Steven Hunt Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Jennie Sharp; and his paternal grandmother, Anna Hunt- DeRoucher.

Friends may call beginning at noon Saturday at the home of Leslie John, 601 Broad St., Salamanca. Funeral services will be held at a time to be announced Sunday (Oct. 30, 2016) at the family home. Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca.
