SALAMANCA – Jane Louise Bowley, 76, of Central Avenue, died early Saturday morning (Jan. 5, 2013), at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo.
Born Sept. 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Beatrice (McClune) Donlin. She was married April 7, 1956, at the former First United Methodist Church to Wayne Bowley, who survives.
She was employed for Dr. George Goldstein O.D. until her retirement. Previously, she had been employed at the former Hunt Furniture Company and Brundage News Company.
Mrs. Bowley was a member of the United Congregational Methodist Church, where she conducted a Women's Bible Study group and served as church treasurer. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years.
Surviving are: two daughters, Karen (Peter) Quattrone of Salamanca and Joyce Newark of Marathon, Fla.; five grandsons, Robert Bly, Timothy Bly, Joshua Matthews, Andrew Newark, and Jeremy Newark; two great-granddaughters, Kaydence Newark and Gabrielle Bly; a great- grandson, Ayden Newark; several cousins; and one niece.
She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Shubert in 1984 and a brother, James Donlin in 1983.
There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at the United Congregational Methodist Church, 134 Broad St., Salamanca, with Paster Joshua Schallert, at a time to be announced.
