FRANKLINVILLE – Louis C. Stockman, 72, of Third Ave., died Tuesday (Nov. 27, 2012), at the Olean General Hospital, following a long illness.
Born July 19, 1940, in Clarence, he was the son of Carl and Dorothy (Bonnett) Stockman.
On Oct. 3, 1964, in Blasdell, he married Jackie E. Young, who survives.
Stockman was a 1959 graduate of School #43 in Buffalo and was employed at Deaconess Hospital in Buffalo for 10 years before retiring from West Seneca Developmental Center in West Seneca in 1995, after more than 30 years of service.
He was an accordion player and gave lessons, enjoyed woodworking, collecting model cars, and was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Surviving besides his wife is a son, Mark Stockman of Ellicottville; a daughter, Dawn (Michael) Carlson of Franklinville; grandchildren, Eric and Taylor Stockman, Matt and Danni Elliott, and David and Danielle Carlson; a brother and a sister.
A private memorial mass will be held on Thursday, (Nov. 29, 2012), in St. Mary's R.C. Church in Arcade, with Rev. Michael O'Hara as celebrant.
