Humphrey - Minnie M. Healy, 90, of Humphrey, died Sunday (Oct. 27, 2013), at Olean General Hospital, in Olean, following a short illness.
Born Oct. 9, 1923, in Humphrey, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Conlan) Healy.
Ms. Healy was a graduate of the Fredonia State Teacher's College and received her Master's Degree from Buffalo State College. She was employed as an elementary school teacher for 40 years at the Ellicottville Central School system, prior to her retirement.
She was a former member of St. Pacificus Church in Humphrey.
Surviving are: one brother, James Healy, of Olean; she was dearly beloved by all of her nieces and nephews and her dog, Moody.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Healy; and a sister, Mildred Lounsbury-Smith.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, N.Y., on Friday (Nov. 1, 2013), from 4-7 p.m.
A prayer service will held in the funeral home on Saturday (Nov. 2, 2013), at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. in St. Pacificus Church, with the Father Daniel Walsh, officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, N.Y.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Humphrey Volunteer Fire Depart or the Salamanca Senior Center.
