Phoenix, Ariz. - Neil Kenyon Kyler, 77, of North 19th Avenue, passed away Sunday (Dec. 08, 2013), in Hospice of Arizona, in Peoria, Ariz.
Kyler was born Jan. 23, 1936, in Randolph, in the town of Coldspring, the son of the late Clair Marshall and Sybil Naomi (Jepson) Kyler.
He was a graduate of Salamanca High School and a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served proudly from Aug. 24, 1954 until his honorable discharge on July 17, 1958, where he was a Radar Specialist and Communications Officer.
Kyler retired as a flight operations manager for Scandinavian Airlines in Los Angeles, Calif. In earlier years, he worked as an air traffic controller for the F.A.A in Albuquerque, N.M. and San Diego, Calif.
He is survived by a sister, Donna J. Shovestoll and a brother, Bern J. Kyler.
Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery. As per Kyler's request, services will not be observed. Arrangements have been entrusted to the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, N.Y. To leave a condolence, log onto Memorials may be made to a .
