John Vernon Coe
MOCKSVILLE - Mr. John Vernon Coe, 66, of Mocksville, died Monday, May 13, 2013.
He was born June 12, 1946, in Surry County, to the late Lora Vernon and Charlie Coe.
Mr. Coe was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
Mr. Coe is survived by his wife, Nancy Frye Coe of the home; a brother, Benjamin "Ben" Coe (Shirley) of Great Falls, Mont.; loving and special caregiver Ashley Carpenter, CNA, of Advance; and special friend Katie Hackett of Tampa, Fla.
Service and Visitation: A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 16 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
Memorials: They request that memorials be considered for Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 377 Hospital St., Ste. 103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
