Joseph W. Bryant
LANDIS - Joseph Wayne Bryant, 57, of Landis, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health.
Mr. Bryant was born Aug. 6, 1956, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of Sherman Bryant of Buckhannon, W.Va., and the late Frances Hutchinson Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was employed as a service technician for AT&T and was a member of the mens auxiliary of VFW Post 8989.
He was a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed golfing, hunting and being with his family. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his father, he is survived by daughters April Bryant of the home and Shenna Bryant of Charlotte; a son, Joseph Allen Bryant and wife Tamieka of Norfolk, Va.; granddaughters Maelyn Honbarger and Kayla Bryant; a grandson, Jayden Bryant; brothers Gene Bryant of Buckhannon, W.Va., and Dave Bryant of Spencer, W.Va.; sisters Pam Thomas and husband Ronald of Panama City, Fla., Rosemary Wigmore and husband Al of Mt. Dora, Fla., Debra Hunning and husband Kevin of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Becky Thames and husband Dave of Charleston, S.C., and Frances Mary Martin and husband Scott of Rockledge, Fla.
Arrangements: Funeral services for Mr. Bryant will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 15 at Whitley's Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Allen, Sheena and April, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I know that losing both parents is so very difficult for all of you.
