CHARLOTTE - Anice Adams Cargo, 85, of Charlotte, died Thurdays, May 2, 2013 at her son's residence in Charlotte.

Anice was born June 7, 1927 in Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mae Cline Adams. She was the wife of Stanley P. Cargo, Sr. for over 60 years. Anice was a retired high school teacher and realtor, as well as an avid mall walker and bridge player. She was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church of Charlotte and previously of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in McMurray, Pa.

Her son Stanley P. Cargo, Jr. of Gastonia, NC, as well as her brothers Dan Adams and Carmen Adams that preceded Anice in death.

Anice is survived by her son Mark Cargo and wife Karen Cargo of Charlotte, as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Anice is also survived by four sisters, Christine Anderson, Janet McDaniel, Ann Arey and Peggy Wilhelm. Her son Stanley P. Cargo, Jr. of Gastonia, as well as her brothers Dan Adams and Carmen Adams that preceded Anice in death.

Service & Visitation: A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Advent Lutheran Church in Charlotte. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service (10-11 a.m.). Burial will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Lake Norman, 205 Griffith Street, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036 and/or Advent Lutheran Church, 8840 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28213.
