SALISBURY - Bessie Broadway, 68, of Lash Drive, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at Bob And Carolyn Tucker Hospice Home in Kannapolis
Born June 15, 1944, in Salisbury to the late Milton Campbell and Willie Mae Campbell, she was a graduate of J.C. Price High School and was last employed with Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills.
She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of Missionary Unit 2.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Broadway; and a brother, William Campbell.
She leaves to cherish her memory son Harold (Patty) Broadway, East Spencer; brother Robert (Penny) Campbell, Baltimore, Md.; sister Jannette (James) Jackson, Cleveland; nieces Tonya Campbell, Towana (Eric) Hines, Durham, Shonda (Harvey) Bernard, Kew Garden Queens, N.Y., Bridgett (Rodney) Goodine, Salisbury, Victoria Jackson, Cleveland, Madisa Campbell; nephew Tyrone Campbell and MJ Campbell, Rochdale, N.Y.; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation and Service: Visitation will be 12 Noon Tuesday, May 7 at First Calvary Baptist Church and Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Leamon Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale cemetery.
