Carl A. Albright

SALISBURY - Mr. Carl Alexander Albright, 86, of Ooltewah, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014.

Carl was born July 11, 1927, one of six children to the late Robert White and Julia Koon Albright.

He was an active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salisbury and served in the U.S. Navy.

Married to the love of his live, Margaret Smith on June 10, 1950, he was the owner of Albright's Superette and was later employed by Food Lion and Hershey Chocolate.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Margaret Smith Albright of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kenny Farmer of Ooltewah, Tenn.; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kathie Albright of Claremont; three grandchildren, Suzanne Earnhardt Rider and David of Georgia, Scott Farmer and Windy of Alabama and Bonni Haslem and David of California; one great-grandchild, Hayden Farmer; one sister, Lois Faggart of Salisbury.

Visitation: The family will receive friends 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m., at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Jeromy Cloninger, pastor. Military honors to be provided by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the NC National Guard.
