Carl Joseph Graham

MOUNT ULLA - Carl Joseph Graham, 91, of Mount Ulla, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at his residence.

He was born March 20, 1922, in Mount Ulla, to the late John and Inez Lipe Graham. Mr. Graham was a graduate of Mount Ulla High School. He was a lifelong farmer and worked at Barium Springs Home for Children from 1982-1994.

Mr. Graham was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, where he was very active and was a member of the Congregation Council. He was a founding member of Millbridge Ruritan Club and was an avid fiddle player.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Nesbit Graham, who he married Nov. 28, 1954; brother Thomas Graham; sisters Mary Helen Poteat and Ruth Brown.

He is survived by his children, Stan L. Graham and wife Carol, Carol Parrish and husband Mark; sisters Doris McCarn, Polly Sutton and husband Ed; grandchildren Katie Graham, Jason Graham and fiance;e Jill, Travis Graham, Carley Graham and David Parrish.

Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with Rev. Mary Louise Sitton officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
