Coite Neil Clodfelter

KANNAPOLIS - Mr. Coite Neil Clodfelter, 80, of Kannapolis, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

He was born Nov. 1, 1932, in Iredell County, son of the late Coite and Jessie Clodfelter.

Mr. Clodfelter was employed by Cannon Mills, retiring in 1994 with 50 years of service. He was of the Methodist faith. He had served in the U.S. Army Rangers as a Technical Sergeant during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Smith Clodfelter of the home; one sister, Floranne (Don) McDaniel of Kannapolis; and one brother, Carrol (Carolyn) Clodfelter of Wilmington. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Service and Visitation: Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord, conducted by Rev. Kristy Burnette. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Memorials: The family requests that in lieu of flowers or food, memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
