Donald Seay Watson

SALISBURY - Mr. Donald Seay Watson, 85, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at The Laurels of Salisbury.

Born March 14, 1927, in Rowan County to the late Henry Franklin Watson and Cleety Watkins Watson, he was educated in Rowan County schools. Mr. Watson served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed with Cone Mills as a weaver.

Mr. Watson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Hudson-Miller-Tatum Post 3006.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Davis Watson; son "Gene" Watson; and special friend Vickie Lowder of Salisbury.

Preceding Mr. Watson in death were his brothers, Cye W. Watson and Grant G. Watson; and sister Helen Rainey.

Service: A private graveside service with military honors was held on Thursday, Dec. 6 at Rowan Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Laurels for their loving care of Mr. Watson.
