Foster A. Dionne

SALISBURY - Mr. Foster Albert Dionne, 88, of Salisbury and formerly of Andrews, N.C., passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born Oct. 9, 1925, to the late Sadie W. Foster Dionne and Henry Albert Dionne, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School in Massachusetts. Mr. Dionne was a professional photographer who owned his own business.

A corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, Foster served during World War II.

He helped form the Andrews Community Youth Players.

Mr. Dionne was a member of Andrews United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Albert Dionne, and daughter Cindi Upham.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Agnes LeClaire Dionne; sons Chuck Dionne and wife Lynn of Salisbury and Brian Dionne and wife Monique of Odessa, Fla.; daughter Cindy Frazier and husband Neal of New Bern; and son-in-law Tim Upham. Fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren are also surviving.

Service: Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Andrews United Methodist Church in Andrews.
