Helen Rimer Fisher
SALISBURY - Helen Rimer Fisher, 81, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Autumn Care of Salisbury.
She was born May 18, 1931 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late O.B. "Bill" Rimer and Ruth Miller Rimer.
Mrs. Fisher was educated in Cabarrus County schools and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. She had worked in the Sheet Department of Cannon Mills Plant 1. She later and most recently worked in the Erwin Middle School Cafeteria.
A life-member of Organ Lutheran Church, Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband, the late Rev. Herman George Fisher Sr., on Oct. 19, 1992. They were married June 30, 1977.
Mrs. Fisher enjoyed crocheting, quilting, spending time at the beach and being with her family. She also loved visiting with her many friends and relatives.
Left to cherish her memories are stepsons H.G. Fisher of Fort Myers, Fla., John H. Fisher of Hilton Head, S.C.; stepdaughters Ann F. Williams of Thomasville, Ruby F. Farish of Gulf Shores, Ala.; brother Charles Lee Rimer and (Ann) of Kannapolis; cousin Harold and (Ruby) of Salisbury; a special friend, Hoy R. Stirewalt of Faith; along with numerous other cousins and friends.
Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 in the Church Parlor of Organ Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Organ Lutheran Church, Salisbury, conducted by Rev. Carlin Ours, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Autumn Care Nursing Home, especially the 600 hall, for the special care given to Helen during her time there. Also a special thank you is extended to Organ Lutheran Church and St. Matthews Lutheran for the many cards, flowers, visits and prayers sent during this time.
