LAGRANGE, KY - Joseph A. Brandi 96, of LaGrange, formerly of Salisbury, passed away in LaGrange, Ky. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.

He was a Catholic, a decorated Army WWII Veteran who was awarded a purple heart, and a retired rubber and plastics industry technical advisor and plant manager.

Mr. Brandi was an accomplished and avid award-winning athlete who excelled at all sports and especially enjoyed basketball, golf, bowling and a good game of bocce with friends. He never had a bad word for anyone and was a devoted husband and father whose life was centered on his wife Lillian whom he loved with all his heart.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Ruth Docherty Brandi; children: Jay Brandi (Mary Ellen), Terrence Brandi (Terry) and Kathleen Francis (William); brothers: Daniel Brandi and Anthony Brandi; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services: A funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at St Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South 6th Street, Louisville, KY 40203, with burial to follow in Kentucky Veteran Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home.
