ROCKWELL - Mr. Myron Dean Bost, 66, of Rockwell, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013.

Mr. Bost was born on June 23, 1947, in Cabarrus County to the late Adam Jacob and Edna Stroude Bost. Mr. Bost was a 1965 graduate of East Rowan High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.

Mr. Bost also worked for W.A. Brown & Sons, where he did mechanical maintenance, retiring in 2009.

He was a lifelong member of Organ Lutheran Church, where he was very active as a council member and served on all committees.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, working outside around the yard and splitting firewood.

Mr. Bost is survived by his wife, Carolyn Cress Bost, who he married Aug. 3, 1985; son Scott Shoe and wife Jennifer of Rockwell; daughter Heather Coleman and husband Allen of Faith; sister Teenie McCullough and Wayne of Salisbury; and grandchildren Miranda Sigmon and Ben, Josh Schenk, Hunter Schenk, EmmaGrace Shoe, Blaze Shoe and Reagan Shoe.

Service: The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Organ Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Carlin Ours, pastor, and Rev. Randy Conley, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors conducted by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the N.C. National Guard.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Powles Funeral Home Wednesday, Nov. 6.
