Sylvia Gillespie Boger

SPENCER - Mrs. Sylvia Yvette Gillespie Boger, age 48, of Yadkin Avenue, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at her residence.

She was born June 22, 1964, to the late Peggy Mitchell Holmes and Sylvester Williams. She was a graduate of North Rowan High School. She was previous employed at Day's Inn. Mrs. Boger was a member of Mt. Calvary Holy Church, where she served with the Usher's Ministry.

Survivors are her husband, Benny Boger Jr. of the home; sons Jeremaiah Boger and Jonathan Boger, both of the home; daughter Dasha Boger of the home; brothers Jack Mitchell (Lavila) and Claude Gillespie, both of Charlotte, Melvin Mitchell, Salisbury, Melvin Mitchell, Asheville, James Gillespie, Greenville, S.C.; sister Deborah Ann Correll (Dennis), Salisbury; stepfather Tommy Holmes, Salisbury; special uncles Bishop Joseph U. Roberts, Spencer, and Calvin Mitchell (Edna), Salisbury; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be 2 p.m. and visitation at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Dorsett Chapel UCC with Bishop Harvey Rice, Eulogist, and Rev. Thomas Wyatt, pastor. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
