Ulysses 'Tuck' Jones

CHINA GROVE - Mr. Ulysses "Tuck" Samuel Jones, 64 of Westside Circle, passed Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born March 2, 1948, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Willie L. Jones and Esther Mae Johnson Jones. He was a graduate of Aggrey Memorial High School, Landis, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was last employed as a Dolpher with China Grove Cotton Mill. A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, China Grove, he was a member of the Male Choir and was very involved and loved working in the community. He also volunteered with Westside HeadStart.

He is survived by a daughter Urica Carr, Charlotte; siblings Sylvia Davis, China Grove, Frank Jones, Spencer, Esther (Mike) Perry, China Grove, Terry Jones, Salisbury, Lisa Jones, Greensboro, Martha Jones, Salisbury, Naomi (Robert) Ramseur, China Grove, Betty Jones, Spencer David Goods, Landis, Rant Ramseur, Charlotte; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

The family will be at the home of a sister at 810 S. Bostian St., China Grove.

Visitation: 1 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, China Grove.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, China Grove. Pastor Nasby Mills Jr. will serve as Eulogist.

Burial: Church Cemetery.
