Phyllis Houghton Obituary
DAVIDSON - Dr. Phyllis Margarite Gore Houghton, 95 years of age, of Davidson, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at The Pines at Davidson.
Phyllis was born March 7, 1919, in Wayne County, Mich., to the late George John Wagner and the late Maude May McDonald Wagner. She was also preceded in death by husbands John Robert Gore and John "Jack" Houghton.
She is survived by sons John Lawton Gore and wife Jean of Conyers, Ga, Randall "Randy" Gore and wife Colean of Bahama, N.C., and David Wagner Gore and wife Jan of Landis; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements: The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 24 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. A graveside service officiated by Rev. John T. Bryant will follow at 1 p.m. at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 E. Main St., Albemarle.
Memorials: May be made to American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave., Charlotte, NC 28207.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Houghton family.
