SALISBURY - Beulah Meatta Parnell Lemly, 97, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Autumn Care Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 5, 1915 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late John Luther Parnell and Dica Ellen Feezor Parnell.
Beulah worked at Rickman Mfg. Co, from 1947-1970. She was the oldest member of Bethel United Methodist Church and last member of Sophia Peacock's Sunday School Class #6. Mrs. Lemly was also an auxiliary member of Millers Ferry Fire Dept.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Dewey Lamont Lemly and was the last survivor of six siblings.
Those left to cherish her memories are daughter, Bobbie L. Loflin; grandchildren, Cindi Loflin of Lexington and Scott (Donna) Loflin of Lincolnton; great-grandchild, Katie Howard (Randy) of Denver; great-great-grandchildren, Evan Howard and Paisley Howard; two special friends, Sunday School Teachers, Sophia Peacock and Judy Miller.
Visitation: 2-3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Haven Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 207 W. Harrison St., Salisbury, NC 28147. The family will receive friends at the resdience at other times.
Funeral Service: 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Haven Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall Church the Rev. Kelly Ottinger officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2380 Long Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146 and Miller Ferry Fire Dept, 2650 Long Ferry Rd Salisbury, NC 28146.
