Cornelia L. Allen

SALISBURY - Mrs. Cornelia Little Allen, 65, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center due to injuries from an automobile accident.

Born April 16, 1947, in Rowan County to the late Dr. Joseph Rice Little and Edith Redfern Little, she was a graduate of Boyden High School and graduated with honors from Meredith College with a degree in English education. Later she went to RCCC and graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelors Degree in electronics and physics.

Mrs. Allen worked at Belk for many years in the children's department. She was a member of Milford Hills Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Samuel Allen.

Surviving is her nephew, Jacob Riley of Salisbury.

Service: A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (April 9) at Summersett Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private.

Memorials: May be made to Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, 220 Grace Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28147; or Rowan County Animal Shelter.
