LANDIS - David Ottis Beaver, 49, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 13, 2011, at his residence, following a two-year courageous battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 3, 1962, in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Kyle Ray Beaver and Mary Head Benton. David was a roofing contractor, loved his family, friends, his Harley, camping, fishing and being outdoors.
Family members left with precious memories include his wife, Paula Annette Goodman Beaver; mom Clara Beaver; mother-in-law Phyllis Black; his children, Levi, Samantha and Jessica Beaver and Ashland Jones and husband Tim, all of Landis; his brothers, Terry Beaver and wife Julie, China Grove, Lloyd Rigdon and wife Hazel of Mooresville and Timothy Rigdon and wife Ginger of Monroe; sisters Fonda Meredith and husband Don, Moores-ville, Christie Harris and husband Mark, China Grove, Melissa Wright, York, S.C., and Jenny Keirs of Matthews; and his grandchildren, Braden Rochon and Makenna Jones.
Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rodgers Park Reformed Church, conducted by the Rev. David McManus, pastor. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
