Dennis E. Correll

SALISBURY - Mr. Dennis Edward Correll, age 60, of 15th Street, passed Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Salisbury to Julia Evelyn Poe Correll and the late Walter W. Correll. Dennis was a graduate of North Rowan High School and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Gillispie Correll of the home; mother Julia Evelyn Poe Correll, Salisbury; brothers Walter Ronald Correll and George K. Correll (Carolyn), both of Salisbury; sisters Jean C. Brown, Greensboro, Yvonne C. Cockerl (Robert), Barbara Correll and Dawn Alexander (Christopher), all of Salisbury; stepsons Juston Owens and Anthony Gillespie, both of Salisbury; three grandchildren; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Service and Visitation: Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. and visitation at 12 noon Thursday, Dec. 5 at Dorsett Chapel UCC with the Pastor, Rev. Thomas Wyatt, officiating and Rev. James E. Milton II as Eulogist. Burial will be in the US National Cemetery, Statesville Boulevard location, Salisbury, with military honors.
