Mr. Rabon was born June 22, 1928, in Rowan County, the son of the late Mamie Rainey Rabon and Luther Moore Rabon. He was educated in Rowan County schools and proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Missouri BB63 and USS Tarawa CV40. He retired from Cannon Mills Plant 7 in Salisbury.

His love for his family and his Lord was his greatest treasures.

Mr. Rabon is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Ruby Bullins Rabon, to whom he was married for 64 years. He is also survived by his three children who he adored: Shelby Snyder and husband Mike, Edward Taylor Rabon (Junior) and his wife Betsy and Ruth Cameron and her husband James Nathan, all of Salisbury. He was blessed with eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rabon (Rosco) was an avid golfer and won many titles in Rowan County. He enjoyed playing golf and competing with his son. He loved the mountains and the beach. He adored his pet and companion, Cocoa. He was loved and adored by all who knew him. Above all, he treasured every moment with his family.
