Harold 'Dean' Warden

SALISBURY - Harold "Dean" Warden, 74, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 1, 2012, at his residence.

Born July 11, 1938, in Harlingen, Tex., he was a son of the late Charles and Minnie Mae Emerson Warden. Dean retired from Skyline Mobile Homes, where he had been a master service repair technician. He had been in this field of work for more than 35 years and enjoyed the traveling it required.

A loving family man, Dean enjoyed flea markets, buying, selling and collecting "treasures." He was also very proud and supportive of his granddaughter, Chasity.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Warden, and three brothers.

Family members left with cherished memories include his wife, Ruth Warden, to whom he would have been married 50 years on Dec. 15, 2012; his daughter, Kathy Warden Boyles and companion Perry Ballard; his son, Russell Gardner Warden, all of Salisbury; a "special daughter," Connie Basinger; his sister, Marilyn Trombley of Arizona; and his granddaughter, Chasity Boyles of Salisbury.

Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Dean's life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Larry Beaver. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
