James Edwin Lee

CHINA GROVE - James Edwin Lee, 84, of China Grove, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at his residence.

He was born, June 9, 1928 in Iredell County the son of the late David Earl Lee Sr. and Bessie Watts Lee.

James attended China Grove High School and worked at Rowan Mills/ Parkdale as a machinist retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving from 1946-1948 and received a WWII Victory Medal. James also enjoyed Nascar, Duke college basketball and football.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Patricia Ann Lee; sister, Jean Lee; brothers, Tom, David and Don Lee.

Those left to cherish his memories are daughter Carmen Lee of Raleigh; brother Harold Lee and sister Linda Sue Brady of Kannapolis.

Visitation and Services: Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4125 Franklin Comm. Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Carroll Robinson officiating.
