Jerry N. Kincaid

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - Jerry N. Kincaid, 80, of Zionsville, passed away Oct. 15, 2012.

He was born Dec. 5, 1931, to the late Wiley Troy and Duette (Leonard) Kincaid in Salisbury, N.C.

He played high school football for Boyden High School and was awarded a football scholarship to the University of North Carolina.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a life insurance salesman for New York Life Insurance Co. for over 20 years, obtaining Senior Nylic status and "top agent" awards.

Jerry's favorite hobby was woodworking; and he created many beautiful wooden bowls, lamps and pieces of furniture.

He was known affectionately among the Zionsville Meadows residents as "the man who tells the cat joke."

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter Kelly Chapman; two sons, Mark and Tony Kincaid; three grandchildren; four stepchildren, Meredith Bovin, Sue Grover, Robert Lynch, Kimberley Spry; and six stepgrandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be held Nov. 3.

Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers in Zionsville is in charge of arrangements.
