Jimmy Lee Moore

CLEMMONS - Mr. Jimmy Lee Moore, of Clemmons, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, following a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.

He was born in Iredell County to the late John and Clara Foutz Moore on Dec. 24, 1935. A graduate of Pfeiffer University, Mr. Moore had served in the U.S. Army Reserves and had retired as an auditor with the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Jim enjoyed exercising and playing golf. He had served as a volunteer at the Samaritan Soup Kitchen, Crisis Control, Walkertown Lutheran Home and Meals on Wheels.

Jim was devoted to his family and we will miss him very much.

He is survived by his wife, June Hinson Moore; a daughter, Sherye Hall (Jeff); and granddaughters Allison Paige and Kelly Kristin Hall of Winston-Salem. Also surviving are a sister, Pat Ramseur, and nephew, Donny Ramseur of Concord.

Service and Visitation: A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Lutheran Church of the Epiphany in Winston-Salem with Pastor E. Ray Mohrmann officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private committal will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan Ministry, 1243 Patterson Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27101; or Epiphany Lutheran Church, Endowment Fund, 5220 Silas Creek Pkwy., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
