Judy Carol Wilhelm Poteat, 69, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born July 22, 1948 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Lucille Upright Wilhelm. She attended China Grove High School and worked as a CNA and worked in Restorative at Autumn Care. Judy was a member of Sloan Lake Community Church until her health began to decline. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Josephine Wilhelm; two sisters, Martha Earnhardt and Phyllis Wilhelm; and one brother-in-law, Ray Goodman. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Mike Williams and his wife Traci Cross Williams and Todd Clayton Hagans; one daughter, Karen Williams Small and her husband Richard Small; brother, Leonard Wilhelm and wife Coleen; and sisters, Louise Cates and Brenda Goodman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Spenser Williams, Ashlyn Williams, Mason Williams, Anna Williams, Charly Small, Jacob Hagans and Molly Hagans. The family will celebrate Judy's life during a private memorial service at Summersett Funeral Home. Summersett Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Judy Poteat.
