Dr. Junius H. Terrell CHAPEL HILL - Dr. Junius H. Terrell, of Chapel Hill died June 27, 2005. Born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, June 21, 1927, he was educated at Whitworth College, Louisiana State University and the University of Texas at Austin. A CPA in North Carolina and Texas, he taught at Bucknell University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Texas prior to a 24 year tenure as professor of accounting at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, during which time he was presented numerous awards for excellence in teaching, including the Nicholas Salgo Distinguished Teaching Award and the University Award for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching. During his tenure as the Dean of the Ketner School of Business at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, Terrell was the recipient of the North Carolina CPA Foundation 's "Outstanding Educator Award." Dr. Terrell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Bonnie Black Terrell and daughter Mrs. Rebecca Ann Perry and her husband Tony Perry of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters Eva T. Pullen of Brookhaven, Miss., Faye T. Moore of Bay St. Louis, Miss. And Regina McGraw Hinote of Mobile, Ala.; brothers Clyde Terrel of McCall Creek, Miss., Linton Terrell of Edwards, Miss. and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements at the Brookhaven Funeral Home, Brookhaven, Miss.
