SALISBURY - Lonnie Monroe Haynes, 60, of Salisbury, passed away Nov. 5, 2012.
Mr. Haynes was born Nov. 28, 1951, to the late Mr. Willis Haynes and Zula Mae Cottingham Haynes. Lonnie attended Rowan County schools and was a graduate of Boyden High School.
Lonnie was a past member of the Salisbury Fire Department and Granite Quarry Volunteer Fire Department, and was the assistant chief of security at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Mr. Haynes was a member of the Moose Lodge and was an avid NASCAR and Carolina Hurricanes fan.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by a son, Brian Snow.
Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Beverly Haynes, who he married April 18, 1983; daughters Kristy Hilton and husband Jeff of Landis, Bridget Billingsley and friend Phil Levanda of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Candice Frohman and husband Scott of Minnesota; daughter-in-law Kimberly Snow and friend Steve Wise of Salisbury; brothers Donald Haynes of Salisbury and Randy Haynes of Florida; and grandchildren Jesse Burton, Toby Billingsley, Jessica Hilton, Kayla Sells, Christian Spivey, Courtney Billingsley, Heather Snow, Caitlin Billingsley, Brianna Billingsley, Heather Burton and Angel Frohman
Visitation: The visitation will be held at Mount Hope Church Saturday, Nov. 10 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Service: The service will follow at Mount Hope Church at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Johny Boggs. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
