Lucille B. Barringer SALISBURY - Lucille Broadway Barringer, age 83, died Thursday (Aug. 18, 2005) at her residence. Born Dec. 14, 1921, in Rowan County, Mrs. Barringer was a daughter of the late Alfred and Minnie Kepley Broadway. She attended Rowan County schools and was employed with Cannon Mills Plant 7 for 34 years before retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church, John 's Sunday School Class, WELCA and the Senior Citizens Club of St. Matthew 's. Mrs. Barringer is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Lincoln Barringer; a daughter, Patricia "Pat" Connor and husband Walter S. of Salisbury; two sisters, Jean Holshouser of Salisbury and Peggy Sides of Rockwell; three grandchildren, Anjie Erbsen of Sterling, Ill., Vicki Ford of Fort Mill, S.C., and Teresa Foust of Greensboro; and four great-grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Foust, Connor Erbsen and Philip Ford. Mrs. Barringer was preceded in death by a daughter, Claire Jane Stuckey, on Sept. 8, 1971. Service : A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Coble officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation : The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 tonight at Summersett Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Pat Connor, 2935 Agner Road, Salisbury.
