Reynold E. Duncan

ADVANCE - Reynold Erastus Duncan, 60, of Advance, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 36 years, Bertha Clark Duncan of the home; one daughter, Monica Duncan of Durham; one brother, Horace W. (Mildred) Duncan, Jr., Maysville; two uncles, Thurston Mattocks, Green-ville, and Luther Turnbull, Wake Forest; eight aunts, Katie White, Mary Roberts and Rev. Hazel Mattocks, all of Silverdale, Pearlie Andrews, Waterbury, Conn., Esther Turnbull, Wake Forest, Catherine Clark and Mary Pearl McClendon, both of Ansonville, and Mable Mattocks, Greenville; sisters-in-law Lurline Clark, Ozener Clark and Paulette Clark, all of Mocksville, Rether Parker, New York, N.Y., Corrie Clark, Mount Vernon, N.Y., Betty Clark, Salisbury, Sadie Clark, Advance; brothers-in law Lyman Parker, New York, N.Y., Leo Hicks, Queens, N.Y., Charlie Clark, Mount Vernon, N.Y., Elbert Clark, Mocks-ville, Preston Clark, Salisbury, Clarence Clark, Advance, and Frank Clark, Mocksville.

Service and Visitation: Funeral Service is Friday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

The family requests no flowers.

Memorials: Gifts may be given to Duncan Family Scholarship Fund, c/o Jacqueline Green, 1312 E. Eva Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23320; or Belgrade Community Action Association, P.O. Box 381, Maysville, NC 28555.
