SALISBURY - Ronald Dale Tomlinson, 49, of Salisbury, died April 14, 2013, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem of biliary cancer.
Born Feb. 11, 1964, in Lumberton, Ronnie was a son of Cecie M. Tomlinson of Asheville. He formerly worked in Circulation for the Salisbury Post and helped plan each year's Pops at the Post, an achievement he was very proud of and enjoyed. He was later a financial adviser with Primerica.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his sisters, Debra T. (Ken) Rockett and Dina M. Tomlinson, both of Mars Hill; brothers Robert E. (Leigh) Tomlinson of Apex and David G. Tomlinson of Weaverville; uncle and aunt Buck and Evelyn Munns of Lumberton; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
At Ronnie's request, his body was donated to Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Ronnie's life.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local Hospice house.
