Willie L. Clement, Sr.

SALISBURY - Mr. Willie Lawton Clement, Sr., 85, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice Hospice House.

Born Feb. 17, 1928 in Salisbury, to the late Madge Poole and Hub Clement, he attended Salisbury schools. Mr. Clement retired after 23 years of serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Fiber and Burlington Industries after his military career.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Mildred Benson Clement.

Surviving are his son, Willie Clement, Jr. and wife Heather of Mocksville; daughter, Patricia Evans of Salisbury; brother, Perry Clement of Salisbury; sister, Linda Rogers of Salisbury; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Service: A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Honors and conducted by the VA Chaplain.

Memorials: May be made to Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
