Wyndola A. Godwin STANFIELD - Wyndola Anderson Godwin, 66, 12215 Big Lick Road, died Friday (Sept. 23, 2005) at her home. Born Aug. 13, 1939, in Stanly County, Mrs. Godwin was a daughter of Veda Mae Carpenter Anderson of Oakboro and the late Billie Anderson. A beauty shop owner since March 1969, she was owner of Wyndola 's Beauty Shop. She was a member of Big Lick Baptist Church, Oakboro, where she taught Sunday school. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include husband of 43 years Reece Blair Godwin; son Nelson Godwin and wife Rachel of Stanfield; sisters Mrs. Janice Williams of Stanfield, Mrs. Geneva and husband Jerry Austin of Granite Quarry and Mrs. Hazel and husband Randy Palmer of Albemarle; and brothers Henry Anderson and wife Lynette of Oakboro, Fred Anderson and wife Edith of Kernersville, David Anderson and wife Diane of Albemarle and Adam Anderson and wife Kathy of Stanfield. Service : 4 p.m. Monday at Big Lick Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Springer, pastor, officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation : 6-8 tonight at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. At other times, the family will be at the home.
