Grover 'Buster' Beaver

CHINA GROVE - Grover Eugene "Buster" Beaver, 71, went to be with Lord April 9, 2012.
Born Sept. 30, 1940, in Landis, he was the son of the late Gilbert Monroe Beaver Sr. and Annie Belle Swink Beaver. Educated in Landis city schools, he was a member of Landis Tabernacle, and retired after 22 years with the U.S. Air Force, where he served in the Vietnam Conflict.
A member of the Bee Hive Masonic Lodge 184 in Omaha, Nebr., he loved fishing and playing musical instruments.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jean Bullard Beaver; sons Gilbert Eugene Beaver and wife Tina of Milton, Fla., Phillip Beaver of Homestead, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Ann Beaver of Salisbury and Jeannie Mae Beaver of the U.S. Air Force; one uncle, Bryte Goodnight and wife "Lib" of Bessemer City; one sister, Nancy Gulledge and husband Bobby of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Michael E. Bentley, Mandi, Travis, Colt, Alex and Jennifer Beaver; one great-grandchild, Kendall Grimes; and extended family members including Scooby, Sissy, Lyndsay, Haley, Brianna and Chris, Trinity, Kristen, Heather and Serenity.
Mr. Beaver was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Monroe Beaver, Jr., in 2003.
Visitation and Service: Visitation is Thursday from 2 until 3:45 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with a Graveside Service following at 4 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park. Service will be conducted by Rev. William H. Coughlin.
