SALISBURY - Glenda Smith Blake, 66, of Salisbury, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
She was born Aug. 9, 1947, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Blondell Batten Smith and Edmen G. Smith.
Glenda graduated from Stanly High School in 1965. She worked at Norandal and was a member of North Main Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her sister, Barbara Kendrick, and brother, Tommy Smith.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Roger Blake, who she married on Nov. 8, 1969; son Shane Blake of Salisbury; brothers Larry Smith and Vaughn Smith, both of Albemarle; and sisters Donna Deaton of Rockwell and Joy Wilson (Brian) of Marion.
Visitation: 10:00-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 at North Main Baptist Church, 1501 N. Main St., Salisbury, NC 28144.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 at North Main Baptist Church with Dr. W.D. Robertson officiating. Burial at Plyler Baptist Church, 25972 Austin Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.
