Frank James Patterson

KANNAPOLIS - Frank James Patterson, 82, passed away Saturday, Mar. 22, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast in Concord.

Mr. Patterson was born Sept. 12, 1931 in Rowan County to the late Roy McCray Patterson and Margie Troutman Patterson. He worked for Cannon Mills as a foreman in the card room until his retirement in 1989. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Patterson and brother, Clyde Patterson.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his two daughters, Donna Patterson Goodman of Rockwell and Karen Johnson and husband, Steve of Hickory; five grandchildren: Kendra Pozyck and husband, Cameron, Caitlin W. Charles and husband, Kevin, Rosemary Johnson, April Parker and husband, Bill, Ashley Hill and husband, Heath; and four great grandchildren: Avery Johnson, Mary Parker, Ashlyn Hill, and Lydia Charles.

Visitation and Services: A funeral service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, Mar. 24, 2014, at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church. Rev. David Raiford, Rev. Janice Wensil, and Rev. Steve Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Mitchell Church Cemetery in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. Monday at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church.
