SALISBURY - Mrs. Doris Hosch Greer, age 80, of Tillman Street, Salisbury, passed Sunday, Mar. 23, 2014 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Mrs. Greer was born Apr. 6, 1933 in Davie County to the late Will and Maudie Johnson Hosch. She attended the public schools of Davie County and retired from Rowan Regional Medical Center. A member of Boxwood Baptist Church, she served with the Deaconess Ministry, Missionary Ministry, Senior Choir, and BJ Melton Singers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Greer and a son, Robert Pulliam.
Survivors are daughters, Matress Savage (Rick) and Becky Miree both of Salisbury; stepson, Johnny Woods (Tammy) of Salisbury; brother, James Hosch (Juanita), of Mocksville; sister, Bernice Peoples, of Winston-Salem; daughter-in-law, Jean Pulliam, of Salisbury; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation and Services: Funeral services will be Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3 p.m. with visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Boxwood Baptist Church. Rev. Gary Milton, Pastor, will officiate and Rev. Barry Melton, Asst. Pastor, will be the Eulogist. Burial will be 12 noon Monday, Mar. 31, 2014 at the U.S. National Cemetery, Statesville Blvd. Salisbury.
