SALISBURY - Norma Albright Gregory, 82, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord April 8, 2014, at Genesis Eldercare.
She was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Erah Blanche Hoke and Thomas Ladd Albright Sr.
Norma graduated from Spencer High School in 1950 and Rowan Technical School of Nursing with honors in 1977. She retired from the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center.
Norma was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher and a youth group chaperone. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, the James Mathis Sunday School Class, and was the recording secretary for the United Transportation Union Auxiliary. Norma was a very loving and caring wife and mother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel S. Gregory Jr. in 1973; brothers Thomas, Haywood and James Albright; and sister Pearl A. White.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Samuel S. Gregory III (Jeanna) of Salisbury.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 234 S. Main GQ St., Granite Quarry, NC 28072.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, April 11 at Shiloh United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Marlowe officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
