SALISBURY - Mrs. Anna "Ruth" Lloyd Ruble, 88, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born on an Easter Monday, April 5, 1926, in Spencer to the late Mary Alta Lindley Lloyd and William Graham Lloyd, she was a graduate of Spencer High School Class of 1945. Mrs. Ruble was employed in the office of Dr. Jay Smith.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a Shepherd at the church, member of the Church Circle and worked with Meals on Wheels.
She loved all people, her humor keeping you uplifted. This she shared with all her friends, neighbors and family. God made Ruth to love and laugh, infecting all she met.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Milton Sides Ruble. They had 60 wonderful years together. Milton went to be with the Lord Nov. 30, 2010.
Surviving are her sons, William Milton Ruble and wife Shirley and Daniel Lloyd Ruble and wife Manda; daughter Amy Allison and husband Gary, all of Rockwell; six grandchildren: Jennifer A. Littleton, Keri A. Watts, Joseph Ruble, Kristen R. Grinstead, Ryan Ruble, Laura Ruble; and great-grandchildren Alexis Skye Littleton, Maddie Mae Watts, Gavin Littleton, Laney Littleton, Brie Littleton, Dakota Grinstead, Jacob Helms, Natalie Helms, and soon to be Millie Anna Watts.
Arrangements: The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:30-7 p.m. at Summersett Funeral Home. Burial is Monday at 10 a.m. at Rowan Memorial Park with a Memorial Service following at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Rev. Steve Haines officiating.
