Bonnie Moore Barrow

SALISBURY - Bonnie Moore Barrow, 68, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Bonnie was born June 30, 1945 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Thomas Holland Moore and Bessie Trexler Moore.

After attending Salisbury Business School, Bonnie started her professional career in banking by working with First Union National Bank for five years and Security Bank and Trust for an additional five years. She joined F & M Bank in 1978 and was employed by them for almost 35 years until her retirement in December 2012. Many people grew to know and love Bonnie over the years as she worked as a teller, customer service representative and office manager of the F&M Statesville branch. Bonnie loved life and her beautiful smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed by many.

Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Jerry Lester Barrow, Sr.; and brothers, Donald Moore, Jack Moore, Gene Moore and Holland "Bubby" Moore.

She is survived by her son, Randall K. Sales of Salisbury; step-daughter, Jennifer Barrow Crouch (Greg) of Statesville; step-son, Jerry Lester "Les" Barrow of Salisbury; sister, Charlotte Moore Cooper (Dewey) of Salisbury,; step-grandchildren, Sarah and William Crouch; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

Visitation:The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday April 29, 2014 at Summersett Funeral Home and following the memorial service at Bonnie's home.

Service:A memorial service will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jim C. Dunkin, minister of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

The family would like to sincerely thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff in the Critical Care Unit for the special care and support.
