SALISBURY - Mrs. Theolene Shaver Watson, 88, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at her residence.
Born Nov. 4, 1925, in Cooleemee to the late Middie Whitley Shaver and Walter F. Shaver, she was a graduate of Woodleaf High School. Mrs. Watson worked for Cone Mills until her retirement.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday School and was a Director of the Women's Missionary Union.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Gaither Alexander Watson, who died Oct. 17, 2008.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister; Janie Chaplin of Mocksville; nephew Ron Sells and wife Pansy, Mike Sells, all of Salisbury, and Rev. Dr. Steve Sells of Asheboro, Wendell Koontz of Mocksville; nieces Scarlett Lakey and Cynthia Moore of Mocksville; great-nephew Kirby Sells; great-niece Chris Conner of Salisbury.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church.
Service: Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday (June 6) at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Rick Cockerham, Pastor, and Rev. Dr. Steve Sells officiating. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
